Tom Burnham is the Entertainment Editor of the Nashville Tennessean and Anette Funston's boss. He is nearing retirement, and Annette may have a chance at becoming his replacement.
In Blue Beauty Chapter 28 he gives Annette an assignment to go to Spearfish Lake and interview Jenny Easton. When Annette talks to Brenda Hodunk about this, she learns that she will almost certainly be interviewing Jenny as Jennifer Walworth.
