Gene Metarie, a.k.a. Shovelhead after a type of motorbike. Wife Metarie, Lex. Biker, Physician, Violin player. When in scrubs, he is Dr Metarie, when on his bike he is Shovelhead. He diagnoses the problem causing Myleigh's snoring in Dawnwalker. He is Candice's new doctor when she moves to Spearfish Lake, and is also Jennifer's doctor, who tells her she is pregnant (Facing the Storm).
